Temporal dynamics of strongly coupled epsilon near-zero plasmonic systems

Subwavelength epsilon-near-zero (ENZ) films with decorated nanoantennae are an emerging platform for coupling radiation into the ENZ mode: recent experiments have shown how strong between two systems underpins significant nonlinear effects. Field enhancement and temporal dynamic of in strongly coupled plasmonic antennae play a substantial role light–matter interaction, latter has not yet been fully disclosed. We numerically investigate pulse shaping impinging on representative systems: transparent conductive oxide NIR band (ITO) polar material MIR (SiC). In both cases, we demonstrate that dynamics field particularly pronounced within region, highlight different polarization responses ITO-based case from SiC one. The latter, owing to lower losses, shows extreme reshaping resonant close spectral region is, therefore, promising candidate slow-light-enhanced
